Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza

Stuffed crust pizza is not only super delicious and cheesy, it is super easy to make!  It will have you, your kids, your grandkids, whoever coming back slice after slice.  Oh, the best part, it’s PIZZA, the possibilities with toppings and changeups are endless!

The ingredients

All you will need for this meal is pre-made pizza dough, pizza sauce, string cheese sticks, and mozzarella cheese.  Optionally, you can add whatever toppings you’d like!  I added pepperoni, bell peppers, and bacon bits.

Prepping the dough

First things first, preheat your oven to 425 degrees.  Next, grab a cookie sheet and grease it with olive oil.  Open up your pizza dough and roll it out onto the cookie sheet evenly spreading it using your hands.  If you would like to have a thinner pizza, use a larger cookie sheet.  Once the dough is spread place cheese sticks around the outer edges, leaving enough dough on the outside to roll over.

Once the cheese sticks are placed around the edge you will fold the dough over completely covering the cheese sticks.  You will want to make sure you attach/press the dough down once it is rolled over so that it doesn’t unroll.  After it is rolled add your oregano on the crust and pre-cook the dough for about 6 minutes.

This is what the pizza will look like after pre-baking the crust.

Making the pizza

So now that the crust is pre-cooked you can start adding your toppings.  Start by adding your pizza sauce and spreading it evenly around the inside of the dough.

Next, add your mozzarella cheese followed by whatever toppings you’d like.  I prefer adding the mozzarella before the toppings because I feel like it cooks quicker and the toppings, like pepperoni, get incorporated into the pizza better.

The last thing to do is bake it.  Throw it back in your oven at 425 degrees for about 10-12 minutes or until the pizza’s crust is golden brown.
