If peanut butter and jelly made a smoothie, this would be that smoothie. This mixed berry smoothie tastes just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but better of course. It is super simple to make, very nutritious, and is great if you need to just run out the door yet feel full.
All you will need for this smoothie is frozen mixed berries, plain Greek yogurt, unsweetened original almond milk, almond butter (or peanut butter), and vanilla whey protein. If you don’t want to use vanilla whey protein, or don’t have protein, you can buy vanilla Greek yogurt instead of plain to enhance the flavor profile.
Making the smoothie
Again, this smoothie is super simple to make. You will start by adding the frozen mixed berries, Greek yogurt, and the almond milk to your blender.
Blend the 3 ingredients together until they are all incorporated and the mixed berries are no longer chunky. There is no real way of telling if they are chunky or not other than just eyeballing and judging the smoothness. Don’t worry, it is pretty easy to tell though.
After it is all blended you will want to add a scoop of your whey protein powder and the almond butter. You will blend it all again until the protein powder and almond butter are fully incorporated into your smoothie. When it is, you are ready to serve!
Mixed Berry Smoothie
- 1 cup Frozen mixed berries
- 1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup Unsweetened original almond milk
- 2 tbsp Almond butter Peanut butter is good too
- 1 scoop Vanilla whey protein
In a blender add your frozen mixed berries, yogurt, and almond milk. Blend everything together until the berries are no longer chunky.
Once the berries, milk, and yogurt are blended add your scoop of whey protein and almond butter. Blend again until smooth and incorporated.
Serve and enjoy!
